The Government is seeking the best in existing commercial practices for next day (desired) delivery using on-line electronic ordering. The contractor will provide a full range of quality items, at discount prices, with prompt pickup or delivery service of all ordered items. These supplies shall be of the type that are typically carried and offered in standard office supply depots or warehouses. The contractor shall provide a fully automated, operational on-line electronic (EOE) system which shall be the contractor/vendors own choice. However, all ordering activities under this contract must be able to utilize the system by accessing the system either via the INTERNET, e:mail, or dial up method. Anticipate Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for commercial items for base year plus four one year option periods. FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services will be incorporated into the solicitation. Solicitation to be issued approximately 18 December 1998.
