Solicitation for services for fabrication of Small Craft Propulsion System Pump-jet Housing Components Sand Castings and Molds. The Contractor shall develop aluminum alloy sand casting pattern(s) and molds for the specified pump-jet housing components, by utilizing (and translating where appropriate) design drawings, supplied by the Government, into product fabrication drawings. The casting patterns and molds shall also adhere to any additional design changes that will enhance the products reproducibility, functionality, reliability, and maintainability. The casting patterns and molds shall be designed in such a manner that the resultant subassembly components may accept welding of other subassembly structures and components to the cast components thus maintaining their structural integrity. Award will be based on best value. Factors to be considered in contract award are (1) technical, (2) price, (3) the contractor's past performance and any additional indications of work quality, and (4) whether the contractor represents the best value for the Navy.
