D -- DEFENSE METEOROLOGICAL SATELLITE PROGRAM (DMSP) POC Karen Kinzel, 618-229-9447 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to modify the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Contract, DCA200-96-C-0047 and authorize the addition of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) circuits currently being provided by NOAA contract 50-DDNE-0-00002. The contractor is GE American Communications corporation, Inc., Four Research Way, Princeton, NJ 08540-6684. The DMSP contract collects light and infrared cloud data and other specialized meteorological, oceanographic, and solar-geophysical data required to support DOD operations and other high priority programs. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
