is a solicitation for commercial items. Proposals are being requested
and a written solicitation is available. All proposals shall reflect
the solicitation number RFP-797-FDF1-0006. This solicitation is issued
as a request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation incorporates
provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular
(FAC) 97-06. This is a total small business set aside. The standard
industrial classification code is 5047 and small business size standard
is 500. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not
applicable to this solicitation. The AFMLO/VA Special Services Division
has a requirement for a computer system intended to identify and mark
regions of interest on routine screening mammograms. The system assists
the radiologist in minimizing oversights by identifying areas on the
original mammogram that may warrant a second review. The requirements
include computer aided detection system with image analysis including
display capabilities, such as theImageChecker System M1000 as
manufactured by R2 Technology Inc. The proposed system shall have
proven technology and is FDA approved. The government guarantees a
minimum of 1 system. The contractor shall be responsible for training
user personnel in the operation and care of the system. The training
shall include, at a minimum, actual demonstration and operation of the
equipment including adjustments. Delivery: FOB Destination 15 days ARO
desired. The contract is intended to be issued as an indefinite
delivery, indefinite quantity for the systems that may be used on a
non-mandatory basis by Government activities. The Offeror shall
guarantee availability of servicing and replacement of parts for the
life expectancy of the equipment. The Offeror shall provide equipment
that is Year 2000 compliant. Year 2000 compliant as used in this part,
means, with respect to information technology, that the information
technology accurately processes date/ time data (including, but not
limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and
between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999
and 2000 and leap year calculations, to the extent that other
information technology, used in combination with the information
technology being acquired, properly exchanges date/time data with it.
