Nelson, 202/874-5040 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a Bureau of the Treasury Department, intends to award a sole source procurement to AT&T Wireless for six wireless phones using a standard government plan and 16 wireless phones using the one rate plan. The 6 wireless phones with the standard government plan consists of the following: 1) PBMA IS-136 digital platform (protected digital quality communication as well as provides a platform for enhanced services that require digital technology to deploy); 2) Dual/Band/Dual mode technology enables service anywhere customer travels and all features travel from network to network with no additional steps necessary; 3) Over air activation (error free, time saving method for activating wireless terminals), peak/off peak; 4) First incoming minute free; 5) Voicemail plus (when phone is unavailable, caller automatically gets voicemail and phone will alert customer with message indicator light); 6) No landline fee; 7) No roamer administration fee; 8) Flat roaming fee; 9) Nationwide cellular coverage; 10) Aggregate volume discounts; 11) Nationwide provisioning; 12) 24-hour customer care; and, 13) Seamless nationwide and internal roaming in more than 80 countries. The 16 wireless phones with the standard government plan consists of the following: 1) PBMA IS-136 digital platform (protected digital quality communication as well as provides a platform for enhanced services that require digital technology to deploy); 2) Dual/Band/Dual mode technology enables service anywhere customer travels and all features travel from network to network with no additional steps necessary; 3) Over air activation (error free, time saving method for activating wireless terminals); 4) 600 minutes per month; 5) no long distance; 6) no roamer admin fee; 7) no roaming fee; 8) 888 toll free numbers attached to the phone; and, 9) Voicemail plus (when phone is unavailable, caller automatically gets voicemail and phone will alert customer with message indicator light). The OCC considers AT&TWireless as the only source that can provide all of these services. Therefore, this procurement is a SOLE SOURCE and NO solicitation is available. Letters and telephone requests for a copy of a solicitation will not be accepted and are considered nonresponsive to this CBD announcement. However, contractors with expertise in this area may submit a PROPOSAL with PRICING to be considered by the Government no later than 15 DAYS from the published date of this announcement.
