The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials to remove the existing metal roff down to the structural deck, replacing deteriorated 2" decking, applying a single ply vapor barrier and recovering the roof with 24 gauge tern coated stainless steel roofing material on Building 1405 at McChord AFB, WA. Building 1405 houses the VORTAC serving McChord AFB and the FAA at SEATAC International and Olympia airports. A Notice to Proceed will be issued upon award of a contract for on site work to commence on or about July 26, 1999. The on site period of performance is 30 calendar days. All material subbmittals must be approved before commencement of on site work. All materials must be available for work to commence on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to minimize the impact on regional air traffic. The work site is in a security sensitive area. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
