Sandra McKay, 410-762-6476 Contractor to machine, inspect, test,
package, and ship propulsion shafts/rudder stocks to be used on various
U.S. Coast Guard Cutters. Sizes, weight, and dimensions fo shafts and
rudder stock blanks range from approximately 18" to 54' long, 500 to
45,000 lbs., and 3 -3/4" to 21.5" in diameter. Government furnished
material shall be provided in accordance with Specification Number
P-243-0145. Tests and inspections shall include the following: Each
fiberglass covering shall be tested in accordance with MIL-STD-2199,
Section 5.6.1; Each shaft/rudder stock & installed sleeve shall be
dimesionally inspected for conformance to the applicable drawing(s) and
the Government specification. Material of manufacture shall be in
accordance with the contract specification. It is intended to award a
firm-fixed price, requirements type contract for a base year and four
(4) option years. Delivery of final machined shafts and rudder stocks
shall be made within 170 to 310 calendar days after receipt of a
delivery order. Delivery shall be made F.O.B. Destination to U.S.C.G.
Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkisn Point Road, Baltimore, MD
21226-5000, When calling to request a solicitation package, be prepared
to state name, address, and soliciation number. All sources may submit
an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The date shown on
Line 10 above is an estimate only. The date and time for receiptof bids
shall be determined. See Numbered Notes 12 and 26. ATTENTION: Minority,

Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP)
offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to
finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracs.
