Sizes, weight, and dimensions fo shafts and rudder stock blanks range from approximately 18" to 54' long, 500 to 45,000 lbs., and 3 -3/4" to 21.5" in diameter. Government furnished material shall be provided in accordance with Specification Number P-243-0145. Tests and inspections shall include the following: Each fiberglass covering shall be tested in accordance with MIL-STD-2199, Section 5.6.1; Each shaft/rudder stock & installed sleeve shall be dimesionally inspected for conformance to the applicable drawing(s) and the Government specification. Material of manufacture shall be in accordance with the contract specification. It is intended to award a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract for a base year and four (4) option years. Delivery of final machined shafts and rudder stocks shall be made within 170 to 310 calendar days after receipt of a delivery order. Delivery shall be made F.O.B. Destination to U.S.C.G.
