NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ)5-17997-988 on a sole source basis for the following products: Qty 12: Cable, cryogenic, and assembly, p/n 68-7011-9C REV.C Qty 4: Cable, cryogenic, and assembly, p/n 68-7011-10C REV.A This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). These special ribbon cables will be used for the MAP instrument harness. The use of these cables will ensure continuity of work and proper interface to both the instrument and spacecraft. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from TAYCO Engineering Inc. as they are the only known distributor of these products. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source.
