NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Medical, and Environmental Services at NASA-Ames Research Center. Support for the Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Medical Services Office is required in the following areas: Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Occupational Safety, Construction Safety Engineering, Injury/Illness Data Analysis, and Medical Services. Support for the Environmental Services Office is required in the following areas: Environmental Compliance, Pollution Prevention and Hazardous Waste Management, Conservation, and Site Restoration. The following elements are common to both the Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Medical program and the Environmental Services program: Emergency Response, Training Services, and Computer Support Services. A cost plus award fee contract is contemplated with a three-year base period and one 2-year priced option. The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect through FAC97-09. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard is 8744 and $20 million in annual sales based on average annual receipts for the last three (3) fiscal years, respectively. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. A draft version of the RFP shall be released for industry comment on or about January 19, 1999, with comments due back on or about February 11, 1999. The anticipated release date of RFP2-37035 is on or about March 11, 1999 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about April 26, 1999. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B".
