IFB is for the production of direct mail packages consisting of closed face and window envelopes, forms, brochures, reply cards, and self mailers. Items print in a single flat color, multi-flat colors, 4-color process, or a combination of flat colors and 4-color process. Laser personalization is also required. Main operations included typesetting, design help, computer and digital correction and design work, maintaining a library of digital images, preparing digital downloads, preparation of digital files including PhotoShop and related programs, digitized color separations and assembly techniques, scanning, preparation of digital files, film and plate production, including 4-color process from either hard or digitized copy, proofs, printing, laser imaging, varnishing, UV coating, envelope manufacturing, die-cutting, folding, perforating, collating into sets, inserting, packing, generating labels and direct imaging of addresses with delivery point barcoding; labeling, spot gluing, sorting for automated mail preparation, and mailing. None of the printing, computer work, and prepress work for generating proofs and films can be subcontracted. Quality level I is required.
