PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide all plant, materials, equipment, tools and labor required to perform the work necessary to complete the upgrade and improvement of 124 military family housing units located on Elmendorf AFB, Alaska in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. Work consists of but is not limited to: repair and replacement of electric service entry for 62 duplexes, and 123 unit electrical panels; renovation of 123 kitchens, including asbestos abatement/removal/disposal, demolition and disposal, minor alteration/construction, work on plumbing, heating and electrical systems, and installation of new finishes and cabinetry. Magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 -- $5,000,000.00. Performance period is 434 calendar days. Solicitation will be available on or about 19 JAN 98 with a Closing Date of 18 FEB 99. Large businesses are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the proposal. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Specifications and drawings will be available on CD ROM only. Format for the specifications is Word 6.0. The drawings are Autocad 12. There may be a cost for the package which will be determined before issuance. Package will be sent upon written request.
