Dale_Gaston@oas.gov. Bell 412EP IFR Helicopter. It is our intent to
procure a new Bell 412EP IFR Helicopter for use by the US Park Police,
National Park Service, Washington DC. The intended use of the aircraft
is a variety of police work in the Washington DC vicinity. The primary
reasons we believe the Bell 412EP is the only aircraft that meets the
Park Service's minimum requirements of a twin engine helicopter with
a useful load of approximately 4900 lbs., seating for ten plus
passengers (plus a crew of 2), high skid gear and sliding cargo doors.
In additon, the Park Srvice is currently operating a Bell 412SP. We
believe the cost of training and the positive habit transfer for the
same make and model under emergency conditions is an important
evaluation factor. Any aircraft offered must include a full
manufacturer's warranty for new aircraft. Solicitation 8099-14 will be
issued December 30, using FAR Part 12 procedures. Offers are due Jan.
19, 1999. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
considered. Contact Dale H. Gaston (Contracting Officer) at
208/387/5819 if you have questions or desire a copy of the
solicitation. Posted 12/17/98 (W-SN281592). (0351) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0127 19981221\15-0004.SOL)
