Services, cjagger/r5_eldorado@fs.fed.us. Professional A/E services are
required for architectural design (including conceptual design
alternatives, interpretive, and development & final design),
engineering and preparation of construction documents (including
drawings, specifications and engineered cost estimtes). The following
types of projects are proposed buildings, access roads and parking
areas, drainage and minor concrete structures and masonry walls,
remodel of existing buildings (re-roofing, re-siding, electrical etc.),
utility systems (water, sewer, electrical), and miscellaneous work
including, but not limited to, sprinkler systems, waste water disposal,
propane/natural gas and landscaping. This work will not include bridge
design. Any contract resulting from this request will be an Indefinite
Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type and will provide for unilateral
option years. Work under this contract will be issued by task orders
and will be performed on Federal Lands located on the Inyo, Tahoe, and
Eldorado National Forests and theLake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. All
interested offerors must submit an SF-254 and SF-255 to the USDA Forest
Service, Eldorado National Forest, Acquisitions, 100 Forni Road,
Placerville, CA 95667 ATTN: Carrol Jagger, no later than 01/20/99. The
following criteria will be applied in relative order of importance
with criteria 1 & 2 being of greatest equal value and criteria 3-6
being of lesser equal value. (1) Professional qualifications necessary
for satisfactory performance of the required services, including, but
not limited to: site surveying, architectural, mechanical, electrical,
structural, and civil engineering. (2) Tehcnical competence and
specialized experience in the types of work required, including
experience in, intimate knowledge of, and proven effectiveness in
working with local agencies such as Tahoe Regional Planning Agency,
California Regional Water Quality Control Board, El Dorado County, CA,
Douglas County, NV, etc. (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the
required time. (4) Past performance on contracts with Government
agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of
work, and compliance with performance schedules. (5) Location in the
general geographical area of these forests, and knowledge of the
locality and local issues, such as producing effective designs
mitigating Lake Tahoe Basin water quality issues (Best Management
Practices), seasonal construction restrictions, etc., provided that
application of this criteria leaves an appropriate number of qualified
firms, given the nature and the size of the project. (6)
Computer-assisted design capability and capacity to generate prompt
