necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not limited to the
following base and options items: (1) Clean and inspect heat
exchangers, (2) Renew deck penetrations, (3) Renew preheater and
associated ductwork, (4) Overhaul ventilation fans and motors, (5)
Clean shipboard ventilation system, (6) Install new moisture
separators, (7) Modify pilot house ventilation, (8) Renew vents for
ballast tank and vent penetration in aft steering compartment, (9)
Overhaul MSW butterfly valves, (10) Replace potable water service
pumps, (11) Repair helo hangar and renew hangar insulation and lagging,
(12) Clean and inspect emergency generator diesel oil tank, (13)
Overhaul warping capstan assembly and relocate connection box, (14)
Clean and inspect sewage and grey water collection and holding tanks,
(15) Renew deck covering, (16) Galley renovation, and (17) Provide
temporary logistics. Vessel is 270 feet in length and 38 feet, 5/8
inches in width. Vessel's homeport is located at 4000 Coast Guard
Blvd., Portsmouth, Virginia 23703. The performance period is FORTY-NINE
(49) calendar days, and the place of performance will be the vessel's
homepier. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East
Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge
of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order
made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All
businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the
subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or
after 18 January 1999. All responsible sources may submit a bid which
