Herchak, Contracting Officer The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, requires a (Ten) 10 Ton (120,000 BTUH) water cooled, a liquid package chiller for the purpose of general scientific research in Food Safety Surface Pasteurization. This package chiller shall be provided as one complete unit with a rated capacity of ten (two times five) tons of refrigeration (120,000 BTUH). It shall be fully assembled and tested with all piping, wiring, and refrigerant in place when it is delivered requiring only landing and connection to hotel services by government personnel. The entire unit shall not exceed 7 feet 8 inches in length by 5 feet in width by 5 feet in height. The unit must be capable of being delivered through a door having an opening of 10 feet wide and 11 feet-8 inches high. Solicitation Number RFQ 03-3615-98 is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-08. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable SIC code is 3585, with a size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is for a commercial item and must include a standard commercial warranty, two copies each of the operation, repair, maintenance manuals, lubrication and service instructions, and operation instructions, and three (3) copies of all diagrams and schematics. The delivery of the unit shall be FOB Destination to the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center, 600 East Mermaid Lane, Wyndmoor, PA 19038, within 60-90 calendar days after notice of award.
