businesses. Special test equipment, or equi- lent is rquired including,
but not limited to, PN 122-2.5 (test set, inslulation breakdown for
dielectric testing), PN 199-165-002 (A-10 intermediate device test box
for alignment and testing), and PN 361- 022-002 (fuel quantity
indicating system test set for testing unit). This is a depot overflow,
one-year requirement with two, one-year options for essential repair of
A-10 electronic amplifiers (PN 360- 039-004; fscm 26055). Essential
repair and test will be in accordance with T.O 5L-3-2-4-3. Item
provides means for measuring the total quantity of aircraft fuel in
pounds. The reparable unit generates analog voltage signals
proportional to fuel quantity and sends these to an external indicating
device. BEQ is 36 each for the basic contract year and 32 each for
successive option years. Govern- ment required delivery is 30 days
after contractor receipt of reparables. A firm, fixed price contract is
envisioned. No gfm, gfp, or gfe availablefor this requirement. GFM and
End Item Transaction (G009) capability and reporting (DI-ALSS-81533/T)
and Maintenance Service Reports (DI-MGMT-80995/T) are required.
Solicitation will be mailed to prospective bidders on/about 15 Jan 99
with proposals due 15 Feb 99. All potential offerors should contact the
buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or
to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your
concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has
been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors
during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman
does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting
Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,
and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
