The US Department of State intends to issue a delivery order to LEXIS-NEXIS under the Library of Congress' FEDLINK Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for FY99. The period of performance shall be from the delivery order issue date through 9/30/1999. This requirement is for on-line access to LEXIS-NEXIS and related services which combines legal, news, company, financial, public records, legislative and other information into one integrated system, now containing more than 1.4 billion documents in more than 8,692 data bases. This allows a researcher to search all areas of the integrated system with a single interface and search logic. The service required of LEXIS-NEXIS includes access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews, specialty publications and more. The Shepherd's service, the premier legal citation service, will be updated DAILY ONLY on LEXIS-NEXIS. Coverage of all 50 states, non-West Reporters, and administrative decisions will be provided by LEXIS-NEXIS. LEXIS-NEXIS EZ-Find combines multiple sources of credit header and locator services in one search. All data is resident on the LEXIS-NEXIS system; no gateways are utilized. Publications in the LEXIS-NEXIS service are global in scope and cover a variety of topics including business, government, finance, politics and technology. Three libraries are dedicated to federal and state legislation, and federal executive and campaign materials. No solicitation exists. Written responses must include prices and technical data sufficient to determine capability. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
