Foss, 843/525-3527 ext 227 The intention of this solicitation is to
obtain Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems at Marine Corps Air
Station (MCAS), Beaufort, Laurel Bay Housing Area and Schools and
Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD). The Contractor shall furnish all
tools, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation,
supervision, and management necessary to provide preventive maintenance
inspection and repair services for fire protection systems. Work shall
include the performance of an annual preventive maintenance inspection
of all systems under the firm fixed-price portion of the contract,
which includes: Laurel Bay Military Family Housing Units, the Laurel
Bay Schools, the Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort. Annual and
semi-annual preventive maintenance inspection for all systems under the
firm fixed-price portion of the contract at the Marine Corps Recruit
Depot, Parris Island, SC. Indefinite quantity work to make repairs to
existing systems; and other services as described.. Below describes the
systems and equipment to be serviced under the contract, which include
but not limited to: (1) Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systsems, (2) Dry Pipe
Sprinkler Systems, (3) Wet Chemical Extinguishing Systems, (4) Dry
Chemical Extinguishing Systems, (5) Deluge System, (6) Pre-Action
Deluge System, (7) Deluge Foam-Water Systems, (8) Water Spray Fixed
Systems, (9) Gaseous Extinguishing Systems, (10) Residental Wet Pipe
Sprinkler Systems, (11) Residential Range Hood Fire Extinguishing
Systems. If during the term of this contract the need arises to
incorporate the Beaufort Naval Hospital, the Government will modify the
contract. The Contractor shall meet all fire protection system
licensing and qualification requirements of the state of South
Carolina, and all current National Fire Code requirements. All work
shall be performed by personnel specifically qualified and trained to
work on fire protection systems and equipment. Evidence of all required
licenses, as well as documentation of qualifications of personnel,
shall be provided to the Contracting Officer prior to award of the
contract. This procurement will be 100% set-aside to small business.
The contract will be written for a base year with four (4) one-year
options. This solicitation will result in a combination fixed price and
indefinite quantity contract. Arrangements to visit the site may be
