Soiled linen shall be delivered to the Textile Care Facility (TCF) located at the West Los Angeles Medical Center and cleaned linen shall be picked up and delivered to the various VA facilities. Roundtrip mileages to these facilities include VAMC West L A (2 miles), VAMC Loma Linda (170 miles), VAMC Long Beach (75 miles), VAMC Sepulveda (35 miles) and VAMC San Diego (250 miles). Contractor will use own vehicles for this service. The contractor shall provide experienced and properly licensed tractor/trailer operators to operate contractor-owned equipment. Contractor will certify in writing that each operator holds a valid state California Class A driver's license and that each operator must also participate in the DMV's "Pull Notice Program" to monitor operator's driving records and to ensure driver's license have not been revoked. Contractor shall provide five (5) forty foot Trailers. Tractor and Trailer rigs must be in proper and safe operating condition and must meet all road worthiness and safety requirements by laws, rules and regulations of the State of California governing the operation of commercial vehicles on public streets and highways. Award to be made for a period of one year from date of award with the option to award for two additional years.
