49 -- ABRASIVE BLAST AND RECOVERY SYSTEM SOL N00406-99-R-5071 DUE 011999 POC Patricia Blackwood (360)476-4394 This requirement is for five each portable skid mounted, self contained ABRASIVE BLAST AND RECOVERY SYSTEMS. The systems shall be used to blast metal surfaces with steel grit to bare metal, recover and classify the used grit, and return the reusable portion of the grit to the system for further use. For portability, each entire system shall be mounted on a single heavy duty skid base. The proposed system will be operated in a heavy duty industrial environment within a shipyard and shall be capable of continuous operation over an extended period of time with minimal maintenance and upkeep. The proposed system shall be used in an industrial manufacturing environment having limited space. The equipment shall fit within the following site dimensions: Maximum overall system length is 15 feet; Maximum overall system width is 10 feet; Maximum overall system height is 12 feet; maximum overall system weight when empty is 15,000 pounds. The system shall be capable of operating in a salt and dust laden outdoor industrial environment subject to driven rain, sleet, and snow with temperatures ranging from -10 to 110 F and relative Humidity up to 100% non-condensing. The equipment and all accessory parts shall operate from a single source of power, which is 120 VAC ( 5%) single phase 60 Hz. Each unit shall operate from a single source of dry, compressed air, which delivers 1,000 CFM at 125 PSIG.
