The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), of the newly formed Marine Corps Materiel command, has announced a new venue by which potential vendors may offer to the Marine Corps new, innovative products or advanced technologies for integration into existing, currently funded programs. The Technology Search Branch of the Amphibious Warfare Technology Directorate (AWT) of MARCORSYSCOM has established an internet site at http://www.usmc-awt.brtrc.com/TechSearch/Tech_Search.htm which provides a submission form allowing vendors to explain their products/technologies, align it with existing requirements, attach photo files, documents. The site is hyper-linked to the Marine Corps Combat Development Command (list of Operational Requirements and Mission Needs as well as the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory desired operational capabilities for their concept based experiments). Once submitted, this form is posted to a secure server and downloaded into the USMC Science and Technology database. This database is the first venue searched by Technology Search Coordinator in support of Program Managers within MARCORSYSCOM who seek to upgrade their programs. Also, the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab will utilize this database in locating enabling technologies for their concept based experimentation.
