The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate as a sole source a modification to an existing contract awarded to LCCC Disposal, Inc. to provide collection of medical pathological waste (MPW) from within various buildings on the NIH campus, Bethesda, MD and collection, sorting and consolidation of recyclable materials from within various buildings on the NIH. Under the existing contract, the contractor, LCCC Disposal, currently collects MPW and recyclable materials from the loading dock area of each building. This modification will expand the services provided by LCCC Disposal to include the physical collection of waste from within the buildings and delivery to the loading dock for pickup.
