The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a contract with firm fixed pricing arrangements with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, P. O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 63166-0516. The contract is to procure rebuys of Organizational and Intermediate level Support Equipment for the Integrated Logistics Program for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. MDC is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. MDC is the only known firm possessing the adequate existing facilities, special test equipment, and requisite knowledge of the aircraft Support Equipment interfaces and, thus, the only contractor able to perform this requirement in a timely manner.
