F -- PRECOMMERCIAL THINNING AND SLASH TREATMENT SOL R6-20-99-04 DB POC Contracting Department (541) 883-6739 or (541) 883-6804 The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain services for Precommercial Tree Thinning and Slash Treatment on the Chemult Ranger District of the Winema National Forest, Klamath County, Oregon. There will be two items with the following estimated totals: Item 1 -- 819 Acres in Natural Stands, Item 2 -- 444 acres in Plantation stands. This will be an indefinite quantity contract. Issue date will be determined at a later time, but will be sometime in January. Approximate start work date is April 12, 1999 for Item 1 and April 19, 1999 for Item 2. It is highly recommended that all interested Contractors look at the units before submitting a proposal due to the varying degree of difficulty. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, fuel, maintenance, labor, supervision, transportation, materials, tools and supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform the work specified.
