N -- 042, INSTALLATION OF A FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM SOL RFQ -- 279000 POC Jim Cooper, Contracting Officer, 925-803-2775 We are seeking sources to complete the installation of a Fire Detection System at the Federal Correctional Institution at Phoenix, AZ. This work will require completing work done on a contract Terminated for Default. Some buildings have new detectors and wiring and other equipment which were installed prior to the termination. The completing contractor will finish all work started by the original contractor, plus some remedial work on the equipment installed by the original contractor, plus the remainder of the work which had not been started. The specification calls for the replacement of an existing, non-standard system with a new system including detectors, conduit, wiring, control panels and a central control/monitor console.
