USAID/Jordan plans to support the Ministry of Health and Health Care (MOHHC) in a national program to improve performance of the Ministry s Primary Health Care (PHC) system with emphasis on Reproductive Health (RH), which encompasses Family Planning (FP), and on PHC management and quality of care. The essential components of this project are: 1. The development and implementation of a quality improvement program at all of the primary health care clinics. The system will need to quantifiable and reproducible so as to be comparable from one clinic to the next. 2. Innovative marketing and communication activities to create awareness of the QIP program and to increase demand for PHC services. USAID/Jordan expects to issue the solicitation on orabout January 12, 1999, with the closing date for submission of proposals approximately 60 days from the actual issuance date. A cost reimbursement, performance based contract is expected with a 5 year period of performance. The SIC for the above requirement is 8742. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format).
