This market survey is issued to identify potential contractors with the skills and knowledge required to accomplish the following effort. The proposed acquisition is for a program consisting of landing gear life extension and life improvement. The contract will consist of three years that will start approximately 1 April 1998. The contractor will act as an integrating contractor for a wide scope of landing gear (LG) life extension projects. This function will involve integrating and interfacing with a number of third party vendors under the guidance and direction of OO-ALC landing gear management. These third party vendors are typically landing gear and aircraft OEMs or other government offices. Key to performing this function is a working knowledge of the landing gear management environment and management practices in place at OO-ALC. These landing gear oversight projects will consist of, but are not limited to, research and development, design, test and evaluation, program management and contracting improvements and depot repair improvements. This competitive acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 15. Any sources interested in this synopsis should describe their qualifications in the following areas: 1. Current and past experience (list contract numbers) with current LG business information systems, including ARCO, RetrievalWare, Inconcert, and Oracle. 2. Current and past experience (list contract numbers) with oversight of LG component engineering projects.
