The solicitation also contains four option items to be exercised within 120 calendar days after contract award to provide: new chillers and chilled water pumps for the HVAC system; new plumbing fixtures to include water closets and lavatories throughout the entire building; new exterior doors, exterior door hardware, windows and glazing throughout the entire building; and an emergency generator to serve emergency circuits in the Marine BEQ (Bldg. 1678) and the Marine Galley (Bldg. 1679). Solicitation documents will be issued on 5 January 1999 with a Bid Opening date of 18 March 1999. The estimated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. SIC Code is 1522. The related small business standard is $17,000,000.00. Period of performance is 395 calendar days to include both design and construction. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. This procurement solicitation will be issued as full and open competition (unrestricted).
