shall provide all labor, equipment and labor to convert four 2-bedroom
rowhouses into two-4-bedroom rowhouses. The work includes but not
limited to the removal of (2) stairwells; remove kitchen cabinets in
four existing units (A,B,C,D); enlarge two second floor bathrooms;
remove portion of concrete block bearing walls and install lintel
supports; new wood posts supports; new vinyl siding; remove (2)
exterior window wall sections, remove partition of wood lintel headers
on first floor ceilings and install new flitch girders; demolish
drywall/wood stud partitions in areas indicated on drawings and install
new wood stud partitions; new wood interior doors and wood bi-fold
closet doors; new den sliding door units; new plumbing for new laundry
and renovated kitches and bathrooms, new wood flooring in-fill;
complete interior painting; new additional electrical outlets and new
electrical panel; and incidental related work. NOTE: Low levels of lead
paint have been identified on (2) 1'-5" wide +/- x 15'-0" high
+/-window wall sections on existing units "B" and "D". Units shall be
removed intact. No grinding or scraping permitted. Contractor shall
provide worker protection as required by OSHA. Lay 6 mil plastic drop
cloth on ground under units to catch any loose paint chips. Windows
shall be disposed of as construction debris. Completion Time is 120
days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated Cost of this

(DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU)
has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquired short-term capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to
any prime subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
