The U.S. Navy/NSWCDD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for acquisition of up to eighteen (18) each Low Level Serial Switch Assemblies, MPS-32, from X-COM, Inc., 8807 Sudley Road, Suite 204, Manassas, VA 20110. This device switches Naval Tactical Data System Type "E" Low Level Serial signals between 32 inputs and 32 outputs in response to control commands received via an RS-232 interface. The device is fully non-blocking and self-contained within a 19-inch rack. Data integrity shall be maintained between MIL-STD-1397C Type E interfaces generated by military and commercial equipment. The device uses standard 120VAC power and includes modular switch assemblies which may be removed and replaced without securing power to the remaining switch assemblies. The minimum bit error rate is one bit per million bits. This item is being purchased to support emergent switching requirements of the Combat Systems Engineering Environment Division ofthe Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia.
