R -- SUPPORT FOR THE EXPANSION OF BACCALAUREATE NURSING ENROLLMENT SOL HRSA-99-BHPR-E054488 DUE 010899 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with The American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 1 Dupont Circle, Washington, DC 20036. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to support a series of meetings of baccalaureate nursing educational program deans and directors to provide advice on possible initiatives leading to the expansion of baccalaureate enrollment. The contractor shall: arrange for six regional meetings of deans or directors of generic baccalaureate nursing educational programs to meet with and provide advice to Division of Nursing (DN) staff on issues involved in expanding student enrollment and on initiatives DN might support to respond to these issues; provide summaries of each meeting; and prepare a final report including the results of the meetings and a summary of key issues and recommendations. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is four months.
