Wyatt, Contract Specialist, 202-426-0133 The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole-source basis to Cognos Corporation for one year of upgrades and maintenance support of the proprietary software product, PowerHouse. PowerHouse is an integrated software that provides a programmer productivity tool set and an end-user report generation tool. The specialized software maintenance program will be utilized in support of the Chief Financial officer for the Departmental Integrated Standardized Core Accounting System (DISCAS). The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 USC (253) (c) (1). Interested parties are advised that no solicitation document is available for this acquisition.
