Johnson, Phone: 301-227-7817 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-09 and the current version of the DFARS as of the date of the synopsis. Requirement: 1. Optra SC 1275N, Sunready Color Laser Printer for Sunsystems, or equivalent, Quantity 1. Important features include but are not limited to: 12/3 ppm, 600 DPI, network compatible & must be able to interface with Sun Ultra 5 workstations. 2. Optra SC 1650N, Sunready B/W Laser Printer for Sunsystems, or equivalent, Quantity 1. Important features include but are not limited to: must be network compatible & must be able to interface with Sun Ultra 5 workstations. 3. APS CD Duplicator, Model No. APS CD-4004 or equivalent, Quantity 2. Important features include but are not limited to: 4 drive unit consisting of 1 CD reader and 3 CD recorders. Delivery of all items is F.O.B. Destination. The following clauses apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-2 (evaluation is based on best value), FAR 52.212-3 (to be provided with quotation), FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5 (appropriate clauses will be defined at time of award, IAW w/ the FAR), and DFARS 52.212-7001 (appropriate clauses will be defined at time of award, IAW the DFARS). Clauses are not applicable if items are ordered via GSA/Agency Schedule/Contract Vehicle. In this case, the Schedule/Contract Vehicle terms and conditions shall apply. The following Year 2000 Compliance clause is made part of this solicitation and resulting contract: Year 2000 Compliance -- Commercial Supply Items: The Contractor shall ensure that all information technology such as: hardware; software; and firmware delivered under this contract that is required to perform date/time processing involving dates subsequent to December 31, 1999, be Year 2000 compliant pursuant to the definition below; Definition: Year 2000 compliant means, with respect to information technology, that the information technology accurately processes date/time data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculations, to the extend that other information technology used in combination with the information technology being acquired, properly exchanges date/time data with it.
