(AURA) is seeking a qualified Internet Service Provider (ISP) to provide a reliable high-speed connection to the Internet for the Gemini Observatory facilities in Hilo, Hawaii. The ISP's link to the Internet should be as close to the Internet core as possible; a DS3 or better access point is required. Gemini will require, at a minimum, a T1-speed connection to the ISP, and the ISP must have significant bandwidth to support Gemini's operations. This procurement will include provision of monthly Internet service as well as any parts or labor necessary to connect Gemini's Hilo facilities to the ISP. The Gemini Observatory is an international collaboration to build and operate two 8 meter telescopes, one to be located on Mauna Kea in Hawaii, the other to be located on Cerro Pachon in Chile. The Gemini Observatory partners include the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Brazil and Chile.
