Army Aberdeen Test Center has a requirement for Engineering Support
Services. The objective of this requirement is to obtain ballistics
field data acquisition support, laboratory test support, and logistic
and administrative support for selected test programs where specific
tasks would include, but not be limited to any of the following: range
preparation, to include geodetic and exterior ballistic preparations;
installation, setup, alignment, verification, operation, maintenance,
and repair of instrumentation and equipment; recording test data and
preparation of data sheets; removal of instrumentation; data analysis;
report preparation; and, engineering drafting services. A time and
materials requirements contract will be result with a base period and
four one-year option periods. It is anticipated that the solicitation
will be issued approximately 1 March 1999. The official release of the
Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the AMC
Acquisition Center (AMCAC) home page on or about 15 February 1999. No
hard copy of the solicitation will be issued, except those portions so
identified in the solicitation. Access to the solicitation will be
through internet site only. The address for the AMCAC home page is
stated above. Once you have reached the AMCAC home page, click on the
RFP button to gain access to the RFP. Please note that the internet
address cited is case sensitive. You must enter the address exactly as
it appears. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of
the solicitation package. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the
same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package,
including amendments (if applicable), should be received and reviewed
prior to submitting a response. It is the responsibility of those
responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other
