The US Army Medical Command Contracting Center seeks information and sources sought for the planning purposes of multiple award indefinite delivery type contracts for leasing and purchasing of the following major manufacturers equipment: (1) Desktop computers (with software packages), (2) Laptop computers (with software packages), (3) Laser printers (regular and color), (4) Scanners, (5) Servers, (6) VTC equipment, (7) Telecommunication equipment, and (8) peripherals. The contract term will be for a base year with four option years with the minimum quantity being that each awardee will receive fair consideration for award of future task orders. Coverage will be for the United States Army Medical Command, Department of Defense, and other federal government agencies. Information sought includes, but is not limited to: (1) Commercial variations of leasing and purchasing agreements, to include a possible sliding scale agreement allowing acceptable size orders to be placed throughout the contract life at the same or better rates, (2) Views on requirements based on computer package deals vs. performance based requirements, (3) Commercial Terms and Conditions applicable to leasing and buying, (4) Maintenance options, whether included as a part of the purchasing or leasing arrangements or provided separately, (5) Terms regarding equipment installation and data transfer, (6) Contractors capability to perform lease versus purchase analyses per requirement as required in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 7.401 (a) and (b).
