A requirement exists to perform the management and operation of a commercial travel service office at Dover AFB DE, McGuire AFB NJ and Lajes Field, Azores. In addition, the primary location at Dover AFB will support a satellite location in New Castle, DE and McGuire AFB will support satellite locations at Willow Grove, PA and Baltimore-Washington International, MD. The requirement is a competitive, 8a set-aside. The standard industry code (SIC) is 4724 and the size standard is $1.06 million. The Government intends to award a requirements contract. Two separate contracts will be awarded for official travel and leisure travel. The proposed initial contract period will be for 18 months, with additional option periods of 6 months each, not to exceed a total of 5 years. If, during the life of the contract, the DoD implements the Defense Travel System and is able to provide Dover AFB with travel services under the new system, some or all options may not be exercised. Additionally, the Defense Travel System may be implemented by geographical boundaries that do not coincide with the cluster of installations as depicted above. To that end, Dover AFB's travel requirements shall be obtained through the DoD contract upon expiration of the initial or any option period. Issue date for solicitation is on or about 20 Jan 99 with a closing date on or about 20 Feb 99.
