Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plum Island Animal Disease Center
(PIADC) requires all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment,
transportation, and perform all related operations necessary to
pave/or re-pave roads on new or existing bases, topsoil and seed
several areas and replace a 30 foot flagpole. The entire project
involves 90,000 square feet of area receiving various treatments
depending on whether there is existing paving, sub-base, or undisturbed
soil. There is one alternate for an additional 5000 square feet of
paving. The Plum Island Animal Disease Center is United States
Government property and is located approximately two (2) miles east of
Orient Point, Long Island, New York, on the extreme northeastern end
of Long Island, and can only be reached by Government or chartered
ferry. The estimated cost of this construction is between $100,000 and
$250,000. The project must be completed within 180 days after receipt
of the notice to proceed. Solicitation No. PIADC-9-002 contains
further information and the plans and specifications will be available
on or about January 25, 1999. Requests must be in writing or faxed to
