The following is needed to combat Douglas-fir beetle infestation in North Idaho and Eastern Washington forests. These items are being advertised as commercial supply items: 1. 50,000-300,000 units -- MCH (methlycyclohexenone) dispenser (400 mg) 2. 250-2,000 units -- 12-unit Lindgren Funnel Traps 3. 250-2,000 units Douglas-fir Bark Beetle Lures with the following three components: -- Frontalin, release rate of 10 mg/day (24-hour day) @ 24 degrees C -- Seudenal, release rate of 5 mg/day (24-hour day) @ 24 degrees C -- Ethanol, release rate of 100 mg/day (24-hour day) @ 24 degrees C Lures must provide above release rate for a minimum of 60 days. 4. 250-2,000 units -- Lure holders for above.
