A -- INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH ON CRANIOFACIAL ANOMALIES SOL RFP #NIH-NIDCR-12-99-3 POC Marion Blevins, 301 594-0652 The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with the World Health Organization (WHO) for the initiation of an international craniofacial anomalies research network. The goal of this initiative is to bring together international researchers through collaborative partnerships and to develop global consensus on craniofacial anomalies research directions and common research protocols. The contract is intended to provide support for the development of a refined study design, organizational plan, detailed protocol criteria, and budget for implementation of cross-national studies whose rationale and basic design are considered scientifically meritorious. WHO is the only known source possessing the necessary knowledge, experience, and ready entry to governments, international birth defects registries, international funding agencies, and international research organizations necessary for the conduct of this project.
