The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is requesting for proposals (RFP-FI5585/SKR) for Contract Nos. FI5585 and FI5595 for the Construction Contracts Claims Consultant Services (Fact Finding; Claims/Dispute Analysis; and Dispute Resolution/Litigation Support etc.). (Two separate contracts may be awarded). The type of consultant services to be performed will be multi-year task order oriented contracts covering a five-year period plus three option years. The nature of work involves services to analyze claims stemming from surface and subsurface rapid-rail transit-system construction and procurement contracts for related equipment. Some of the typical tasks may be: (1) Evaluate merits of claims/disputes; (2)Time Analysis of Disputes to evaluate time entitlements; (3) Develop cost estimates; (4) Perform Contractors' audit of the claims; (5) Prepare Exhibits; (6) Oral presentations; (7) Prepare and give expert testimony before the Board of Contracts Appeals or other judicial or semi-judicial forums.
