INDUSTRIAL FORUM FOR MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING PRIVATIZATION The Air Force Civil Engineer and the Professional Housing Managers Association (PHMA) will host the second annual Industry Forum covering all the military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) plans and progress on Military Family Housing Privatization Initiatives. The Forum provides an excellent opportunity to find out what has been accomplished, what approaches are being taken by each Service and what the specific future plans are for each of the military services. You will also hear the private sector perspective from developers and financiers that have been involved in the actual process. They will provide feedback on the pros and cons of the program, lessons learned, and recommendations for improving the process in the future. The Forum will not focus on one base/installation but instead on the overall programs. Our goal is to improve interface between the private and government sectors in moving this important initiative forward. Some of the specific topics to be discussed are: *Lessons Learned from Privatization Projects *Presentation on the Status of DoD Projects *School Impact Aid Policies *Financial Perspectives *Maintenance Aspects and Expectations *Recent Changes in HUD Requirements *Organizational Structures After each individual session there is time allotted for questions and answers and feedback from participants. The Forum will be open to all government, military, and private sector personnel involved in the privatization of military housing and will be held on February 15, 1999 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Galt House. Accommodations for attendees of the forum only are at the Hilton Seelbach (502-585-3200) If you are interested in attending this forum contact Mr. Jon Moore, Professional Housing Management Association (PHMA) at (703) 327-6873 (voice) or (703)-327-4005 (fax) for registration materials.
