The intent of this solicitation is to obtain an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quality (IDIQ) contract for carpet and installation in Military Family Housing at Seymour Johnson AFB. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestrictive basis in accordance with DOD FAR CLAUSE 252.219-7008. Replies are requested from all concerns as well as large business concerns. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Contractor shall install government furnished capet as well as contractor furnised carpet. Install contractor furnished tack strips, and any accessories. Modify existing doors (remove, trim bottom, and reinstall) as required for carpet installation. Remove shoe moldings in all areas to recieve carpet and modify shoe molding at transition strips. Remove existing thresholds as required. Install new vinyl sheet flooring over existing flooring as required by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The performance period is one (1) base year with one (1) option year. Multiple awards will notbe made as a result of this solicitation. THe magnitude of this project is $2,500,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitations will be availible on or about 29 JAN 99.
