The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to acquire Automated Configuration Management System (ACMS) software in accordance with military specification MIL-PRF-32029(MI), and interface specification MIL-STD-2549. The software is to be developed, installed, and supported for use at all five (5) geographical sites that comprise U.S. Army TACOM. It is intended that the software development and delivery, plus training, will be acquired on a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) "completion" basis, with on-site integration, data conversion and business process modeling being acquired on a CPFF "term", or level-of-effort basis. It is also the intent to procure option- year maintenance and software upgrades on a fixed-price basis. Please note that this notice serves two (2) purposes. It is announcing the upcoming release of draft sections C, E, L & M of the RFP for industry questions and comments. This notice also serves as the only announcement of the final version of the ACMS Request-for-Proposals to be released at the web link cited herein, when all approvals to release the RFP are obtained.
