Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Office of Europe, NIS and
Training, Training Division, Washington, DC has a requirement for an
individual to provide Program Officer services in Washington, DC. The
Training Division is responsible for the coordination of all
international training conducted by USG law enforcement and health
services agencies. It is responsible for chairing the monthly Law
Enforcement Interagency Working Steering Group meetings. The purpose of
this position is to serve as the ILEA program officer for the Training
Division; to manage daily implementation of the ILEA program; to
assist in the management of the ILEA steering Group, which provides
policy and program guidance to USG law enforcement agency
representatives providing training at the ILEAs; to provide logistical
support (Cables, trainee selection criteria, budget guidance) for all
ILEA training sessions; and prepares position papers and
correspondence concerning ILEA program issues. This assignment is for
one year with the option to extend the terms. PSCs are treated on par
with other USG employees. Minimum qualifications: must be a USG
citizenship, thorough knowledge of training methodologies and
international law enforcement training programs of the U.S. Government,
knowledge of foreign policy formulation/implementation process and
administrative management systems and employment is subject to a
security clearance for the Department of State. A SF-171 is required to
apply. The GS grade equivalent is GS-13. This requirement is for
