Surface Warfare Center,Carderock Division,request information for
identifying liquid fuel nozzles for replacement of existing fuel
nozzles in Rolls Royce Allison 501K-17 and 501K-34 engines in the US
Navy Fleet. The replacement nozzles must increase mean time between
failure and reduce fouling that leads to premature nozzle charge out.
The nozzles must have the ability to work with standard Navy fuels and
minimize or eliminate carbon buildup. This synopsis is for information
identifying possible sources for replacement of existing fuel nozzles
in Rolls Royce Allison engines and planning purposes onlh,and does not
constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment
by the Government. Interested sources shall respond by 01 February 1999
