High Energy Pump Option for ND6000 Dye Laser; Item 3. Componets for frequency doubling ND6000 Dye Laser output; Item 4. Closed Loop Crystal Tracker for UVX-1, Model No. UVT-1; and Item 5.Frequency Doubling Crystal for UVT-1, with tuning range of 267-295 NM. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LeRC intends to purchase the items from Continuum,3150 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95951 under an approved Justification citing the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1)-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Justification for one source is based on the UVX System providing the tuning and wavelength selectivity of the optical output from a pre-existing, government owned,Continuum high energy Nd:YAG Powerlight series 8010 Laser. Additionally, each dye laser system is designed to be used with a specific pump laser. The UVX system is designed to mate exactly with the above existing Nd:YAG laser from Continuum. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
