This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; written proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number DAAA03-99-T-0046 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporates provisions and clauses that are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-9. The acquisition methodology is 100% small business set-aside. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3821 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) has a requirement for a Fume Hood System (Line Item No. 0001, 1 SY). The following component parts make up the required system: a. Fume Hood, Quantity -- 2 each, Fisher Scientific Part Number 16-307-9 or equal meeting the following salient characteristics (Length 32 1/4" x width 70" x height 59"; Static Pressure Loss: </= 0.50" at 100 FPM (1170 CFM) and </= 0.70" at 125 FPM (1460 CFM); Exhaust Collar ID: 11"; Lighting: Incandescent; Service Fixtures: 4). b. Base, Acid-Solvent Combination, Quantity -- 2 each, Fisher Scientific Part Number 16-=311-4 or equal. Must be suitable for storing acids in one side and solvent in the other side and must act as a unit with the work surface and fume hood. c. Work Surface, Quantity -- 2 each, Fisher Scientific Part No. 16-307-07 or equal. Stainless. Must be able to work as a unit with other components (Base and Fume hood. The required delivery date is 26 Feb 99.
