This is Amendment 0001 to RFQ/Solicitation USZA22-99-Q-0005 that was issued as a combined CBD Synopsis/Solicitation under Submission No. 284132 and posted on December 30, 1998. Amendment 0001 hereby adds the following clarification information to our solicitation description. The dimensions of the helmet shells that these molds will make are roughly 10" wide, 11" long and 8" high. Detailed shell drawings and CAD files are not available at this time. They will be made available at time of award. The specific (3-D) shape of these helmet shells will be based on the geometry of the U. S. Army CVC shell with an U.S. Army PASGT helmet type edge cut. The shells surface areas will be roughly 150 -- 200 square inches. The shell data will be furnished in one or all of the following formats: a) Pro-Engineer 3-D CAD file; b) IGES 3-D CAD file; and/or Standard 2-D mold drawings with shell surface coordinates. No, previously owned equipment or refurbished equipment is allowed. No equipment handling tools for molds will be required. A 14-week delivery time is the maximum allowable time for these molds. Contractor format for proposals is acceptable. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged. Posted 01/06/99 (W-SN285602). (0006)
