The Bureau of Reclamation, Denver office, intends to issue a sole source award to Hibbit, Karlsson & Sorensen, 1080 Main Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02860, for the acquisition of a one-year lease renewal of a proprietary Abaqus software license, which provides for full maintenance, enhancement, and support of existing Reclamation Abaqus software. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This procurement is for a commercial service ind is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) prescribed at FAR 13.601. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and this announcement serves as the only notice of this action, issued in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. A justification for a sole source acquisition as prescribed at FAR 13.602 has been prepared for this acquisition.
